I worked crisis in Sagebrush City, a desert city in the Southwest. Tallulah was one of my clients. Over six feet tall, built like a linebacker, with strong opinions about everything we played for her.

The names have been changed, and so have a lot of the details, to protect everyone, including me.

Tallulah had opinions on Elton John, Jerry Reed, Leon Redbone, and Dr. John. Then we put Airplane! on in the office lobby.

When the scene came where a passenger translates two men speaking jive, Tallulah said, "That part's true." Not the jive. The translation.

"Everyone's speaking different languages. Just not out loud. You've got cops speaking cop. Doctors speaking doctor. Nonprofits speaking grant."

"You ever sit in one of those meetings where everybody's talking and nobody's saying anything? That's jive."

"Nobody thinks they're the one speaking jive."

Tallulah could speak case note, too.

Three new clients, in town from California for one day, tried to get over a ten-foot fence into a casino pool. They brought towels. Cajun Jerry got one of them down off the fence. Tallulah wanted to write the whole thing up as their strengths: "Independent travel. Shared activity. Brought their own supplies."

Jukebox is a short bonus Sagebrush City book. Jukebox is never sold separately. Jukebox comes free with any Sagebrush City book, or with the full collection.
